New Brands coming soon at Little Liberty

The opening of a children’s section at Liberty earlier this year made all stylish mums dance with joy. Faithful to its overall approach, the department store mixes hard to find labels (Maan, Rita co Rita, Gold, Kidscase, Imps&Elfs, etc), beautiful indie brands (Caramel Baby&Child, Miller, Isabelle Marant, Acne, etc), with a few big names (Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Paul Smith, Chloe).  No logo dictatorship here, just a story of style, discrete elegance, love for wonderful materials and sophisticated colours.

Iris’ drawings

We have a piles of drawings by Iris (6), as she spends hours with crayons in hands, inventing the most extravagant and crazy stories. I am only showing the quiet scenes here but her universe is usually full of babies, dads, moms but also monsters, blood, people crying and shouting. I was sometimes tempted to worry, but I’ve heard this expression of fears and monstrosity is quite healthy ;-) .

Co-founder of Babyccino Kids, Courtney Adamo lives in London with her husband Michael and their three children, Easton (7), Quin (5) and Ivy (3). Courtney was raised on a tulip farm in a tiny town north of Seattle,  USA, she studied in Chicago then lived in LA. In 2003 her husband-to-be (also American, from Las Vegas) convinced her to follow him in London “just for a year”. Nine years later the Adamo, who have become British citizens, live in a beautiful house they bought and restored in Highgate (North London).
