They won an award at the last Playtime Paris edition and were in everybody’s lips : Milk and Biscuits, a brand launched by Kate Smith, a Brit based in Shanghai. Their colourful and fresh collection was shot by Michelle Marshall. Like the vibrant and textured pieces of the collection, the images she created bring tons of good mood and stay with you.

“I like the fact that the photos focus on the characters of the kids, not the apparel, as we really do aim to create products for kids that just let them be who they are” comments Kate.

“The collection initially began as a celebration of the school geek. Mismatched prints – plaid and herringbone along with clashing colors, oranges with pale blue and purple. Classics like a cloak lined with bright over sized plaid. Or the pinafore dresses that we envisioned being worn over a thick woolly jumper with mismatched socks. All cut with great natural fabrics with a high quality finish”.

This concept and the words explaining the essence of the collection are fully contained in the strong, simple shots of Michelle Marshall. Magical!

The collection is now available at Milk and Biscuits.
