Cartagena is a fun destination with kids. The ancient city, surrounded by walls, was declared Unesco
World Heritage Site in 1984. Way back in time, the Spanish used Cartagena to store the gold they stole from the Incas. The fortifications were built  to protect it from pirates and corsairs (French and English privateers licensed by their king).

Alium Boutique  opened in Garzon (Uruguay) in 2008 by Carolyn Prevett (textile designer) and Mariano Piñeyrúa (industrial designer), founders of  Alium Design Studio. Both students of the Centro de Diseño Industrial (CDI) Montevideo, Carolyn and Mariano play with the aesthetics of the peaceful village. Respecting the materials and techniques of craftsmen, Alium develops unique and original products

The largest city in the Southern hemisphere, Sao Paolo counts 20 millions habitants, 10 millions cars and the largest Italian, Jewish, Japanese communities in the world. A tower of Babel full of energy and vitality. And stunning architecture. Could you live here?

Pictures taken at La Bastide de Richeaume, a lovely B&B with tons of charm at very friendly price. Breakfast is served in the garden under a tree, with homemade jams, fruits, delicious bread and viennoiseries. Highly recommended!
