Claire Harper spent many years working in senior marketing roles for some of the UK’s leading retailers and recently left her role as Marketing Director at Mamas & Papas after 5 years. Inspired by her two daughters India and Coco, she started her business in May 2012. IndiaCoco offers a selection of  the very best of British design talents for children aged 0-8, with lots of bold colours and quirky prints. Claire’s retail experience allows her to work closely with brands to offer customers great choice, value and outstanding service.

Something you did recently that you really loved  Watching the Olympic Torch pass through our school and doing a high five with the Policeman! It was very exciting. I also loved my first school sports day and I won two races!

The best holidays you ever had Going to Antigua, swimming and building sandcastles on the beach with Daddy

A place that you would dream to visit  New York – Mummy has told me all about the big toy store, FAO Schwarz and I would love to go.

A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you? Family summer holidays spent in Menorca. White washed coloured houses, lemon trees, ancient churches, cobbled streets and archways enticed many family adventures. Swimming pools, eating dinner outside, staying up late and always wearing my new summer holiday clothes for the day and evening made me feel very special and grown up at the time.

The place you love near your home A fabulous day out for all the family has to be spent at Wentworth Castle; we always have so much fun, great playgrounds, walks in the gardens and picnics in the Castle. It really is a hidden gem in Yorkshire.

Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday? Back to the Carlisle Bay Hotel in Antigua or teaching Coco to ski in Switzerland

The book on your bedside table There are many including lots of fashion and interior magazines but I am currently reading – ‘Pour your heart into it – How Starbucks built a company one cup at a time’

Favourite pieces in your child’s wardrobe Classic Ralph Lauren dresses and cardigans that have been cherished and passed down from Coco to India. I also look the fun, fashion forward and funky brands Lilly+Sid and No Added Sugar, organic brands, Frugi and ilovegorgeous for just stunning dresses. The bold animal print pyjamas from Ava&Luc also makes us all smile at bedtime.
