A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you Going hiking in the mountains of the Basque Country on Sunday mornings and finding the right spot to eat the mid morning sandwich was like nirvana. It still amuses me the green color of the Basque Country everytime I land there. There’s nothing like it.

The place you love near your home  We live in San Francisco now and love my morning ritual of dropping the kids at school and going for coffee and a croissant at the usual spot, which is called Ritual, in the Mission neighborhood. I’m picky about coffee. Whenever I’m Spain I go to Larrea, a family own restaurant I’ve been going to since I was a kid in the town of Tolosa. Their homemade food can’t be compared with anything else.

Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday  We spend summers in San Sebastian, Nothern Spain, where we bike all over town and meet with old friends for pintxos (Basque term for Tapas). It’s a very easy city with kids. We might do a house swap with friends in Quito next summer.

A film that you saw recently and that staid with you  I saw “moonrise kingdom”. I love all movies by Wes Anderson

The film that you love to see with the whole family Old Christmas cartoons

The book on your bedside table I’m in a Spanish book club in San Francisco so I usually read Spanish or Latin American authors lately

The children’s brands your cherish Sprout by Gro, pop up, al solete, talc

The children’s stores you love to visit and buy from I love going to ABC Carpet in NYC and Yoya. Auka in Barcelona and San Sebastian

Last thing you bought for Guillermo Sneakers with the Union Jack flag on them. They seem to go through shoes like there’s no tomorrow

Favourite pieces in your child’s wardrobe They mainly wear sarouel pants to school, they’re super comfy, they’re probably the only kids wearing sarouel pants in San Francisco… Shorts with sandals for the summer

What do you buy online I mostly buy the boys clothes online. Surprinsingly I can’t find clothes that are unique and wearable for them in San Francisco, so I buy most of their clothes when I’m in Spain or online. E-stores: nonchalantmom.com in the US, furniture at buganvillainteriorismo.com in Spain. I buy my kids’ shoes at my friend’s e-store: loszapatosdevioleta.com and of course I follow Pirouette.

A website that inspires you lilandcloe has the right amount of writing and pictures. I cook a lot at home when in San Francisco, even though I’m not a good cook; a friend introduced me to the recipes from this site that has great recipes and pics 101cookbooks.com

Something that made you laugh out loudly recently A dinner with old school friends 2 nights ago, the best affordable therapy in town! Also, I always laugh out loud with my business partner. She’s the most amazing business partner I could ever have, you never get bored with her and always learn super interesting things. She comes from a very different field that has nothing to do with fashion/design which works out very well for us.
