I met Stella at Bubble New York, when she was a little girl, playing with other exhibitor’s children at the show. I saw her again last month, still in NY, but this time she was helping her mother Jess with her booth at Playtime. Time really flies, she a demoiselle now, who is obviously is taking after her mom and wants to be in fashion! Jess, a designer and hand work artist, is famous for the unique handmade dollsthat she started to work on more than 10 years ago, and that are now sold all over the world. Jess, her husband Erio and their children Stella and Tiger live in Petaluma. Jess owns a small shop called maude, that she opened in Petaluma with her good friend Stacy.

The criteria you consider when you buy something for your children I love longevity and timeless pieces…also beautiful. classic looks that aren’t too fussy
Last item you added to your children’s wardrobe Stella just got a scarf from Matta and a new pair of jeans Tiger’s newest piece is a heathered grey tshirt with a silk screened owl from Lucky Fish and a pair of jeans!
Most precious item you bought for your child For Stella it would be a teeny gold heart shaped locket from the 1920′s for Tiger it would be a ship in a bottle
Best gift you gave for a child’s B-day We try to give a lot of hand made gifts…I love giving their friends custom dolls where they can sit with me as i make exactly what they want. i also love giving treasure boxes. I get an old box and fill it with little special things wrapped individually
Items that are hard to find Really great plain t shirts, beautiful movies that are for kids and worth seeing, books for pre teens that aren’t about vampires!
