moKee was founded in 2013 by French dad, Samuel Serra, out of the frustration of buying smart looking functional and well priced baby products in existing retail channels.

Samuel, an online entrepreneur with previous experience with Boudoir Privé (now Birchbox) or Wool and the Gang had a simple idea for moKee : Design products that we are proud of as parents and making them affordable by cutting out the middle men and selling them directly online. moKee ships its products internationally and deliveries to Europe are free.

From their range, the  Wool Nest caught my eye. I remember a similar product from Germany that I posted about a few years back, absolutely gorgeous, but soooo expensive.  moKee’s Wool Nest is made by hand in  with materials sourced in Europe, yet its price is a third of what it would cost through normal retail channels.

The first item launched by moKee was the moKee mini, a simple yet stylish and colourful baby cot. The success was instant and to date 1000’s of babies have slept in it. The company is now hard at work creating other products that share the same values and attributes:

Smart, Simple, Stylish and Honest :

moKee means quality – of design, of production and of service – because every nursery should be beautiful, and shouldn’t cost the earth.

moKee is designed for children, of course, but mostly designed for grown ups. Because having a child does not mean giving up a stylish life.

moKee products make parenthood smarter.  Simple style, careful colours, minimalist design  to create a a nifty nursery.

moKee doesn’t focus necessarily on organic products however they make sure to use safe and sustainably sourced products. For instance the wood used for the cot is FSC certified with waterbase paint.
