Iris’ drawings

May 15, 2012

We have a piles of drawings by Iris (6), as she spends hours with crayons in hands, inventing the most extravagant and crazy stories. I am only showing the quiet scenes here but her universe is usually full of babies, dads, moms but also monsters, blood, people crying and shouting. I was sometimes tempted to worry, but I’ve heard this expression of fears and monstrosity is quite healthy ;-).

Artist Yeondoo Jung recreated a few children’s drawings. See here; quite fun.

To read more about children’s drawing, read this book (I haven’t!).

fantastique comme les enfants savent montrer ainsi leurs émotions!
et ils sont étonnés quand on leur dit que Picasso en serait jaloux, lui qui a cherché toute sa vie la fraîcheur de ces tracés premiers!

Florence, these are AMAZING. Could I possibly commission her for a tee shirt design? I l absolutely love kids art on tee shirts. Stella McCartney, for one, did a series but the kids drawings she had on her tees were really nothing special.
    Iris is very very talented.
