Poppy, a rag doll from the Jess Brown collection, is traveling the world. She left San Francisco with a little bag full of beautiful clothes. She just reached Porto where she will stay with us for a few weeks.
After Portugal Poppy will visit Yolanda Edwards of Momfilter.com in New York City, then she’ll fly to Russia, to Australia and to other exciting countries.
My daughters know Jess Brown’s dolls from Kiki and Coco in Paris, a book they like very much. They are also found of Jess, whom they met with her family in San Francisco last year. But it was their first time really holding one of the dolls. They were very impressed with the quality, with the attention to details, with the clothes and accessories.
They hanged Poppy’s outfits, prepared her a bed and a snack, and decided to sleep in the same room so that both of them could be with the doll.
Although very delicate and elegant, Poppy is rather adventurous. She made a list of things she wants to do while in Porto :
– go crab fishing
– go surfing (you think O’neill or Quicksilver do doll-size wetsuits ?)
– eat baccalhau
– take a tour of the Port wine cellars
– visit the old town, a Unesco world heritage centre
What a program!
