Boy with a Yellow Truck by Patricia Lambert

3-2012_09_2968

Photographer Patricia Lambert was was born in Lima Peru, in a house of artists and musicians. As a little girl she was  hanging around her grandparent’s Art School “German Suarez Vertiz and Maria Teresa Suarez Vertiz”, when she was not standing by her mother, painting on a big Canvas, making a sculpture, or playing Bach on her piano.

Later Patricia went to the Miami School of Visual Arts to study photography and she took a few workshops in NYC. She spent years capturing lives and intimate moments. ”Patricia Lambert understands storytelling. Her work is both cinematic and narrative. The images are at once quiet yet humorous, timeless. Her work with children is warm and honest, capturing the individuality of each child. She just let them be ” comments Giselle Turner, Advertising Producer.

A big thank you to Patricia for kindly allowing Pirouette to use her image of the boy with a yellow truck!

Felicitaciones Patty. El arte se lleva en las venas y esto es una demostración, además de tu trabajo día a día.

Thank you for responding to my request to edit my comment. Patricia Lambert has a rare gift to be able to capture the unique wonder that is only in children.

We have several photographs of our children by Ms. Lambert, which i have been asked to use for paintings. These photographs are absolutely ageless and are displayed with photos by people that have studied with Ansel Adams. I also have photographs from studios, but these could never share the same space. There is no comparison.

The difference is Art. Ms. Lambert captures the soul, the spirit, and the child’s essence, and that is timeless. One is able to see the child as he or she was then and twenty years later you still can see what she is able to illuminate.

Absolutely amazing. A true artist. When I have grandchildren, Ms. Lambert would be the person I would call.
