I remember a Trend Union/Li Edelkort conference, at the end of last century (I feel so old speaking like this). The trends guru prophesied that 2000 would be the year of white. The whole presentation was amazing, in a white room with white food, and Li’s white hair. 2000 itself was not particularly white (for which we thought Li had lost her magic flair), but the trend slowly developed over the decade, and it is still strong today

I wish I could take the Argentinian landscapes back with me to London, and I wish I also could take that delicious reading room with its decor and books contents. I love Eastern European children’s books and illustrators but South American seem to have the same love for detailed + poetic drawings, for sophisticated colour palettes. So rich, so precious for children…
