Tuchinda caught my attention at the last Playtime New York. Tina and Jay, the lovely couple who co-founded the brand, are as charming and delicate as their collection. Great decor, beautiful images, delicious printed dresses and tops : everything is made with great attention to details. Who are you, Tuchinda?

On March 12, 2012, Christie’s auction house in New York sold a famous print of photographer William Eggleston’ “Memphis (Tricycle)” for $578,500. It was an 112x152cm (44x60in.) inkjet print, in an edition of two.

Caramel Baby & Child‘s summer collection is in stores. The brand is continuing to expand its network of retailers, especially strong in the USA, Korea and Italy. Caramel is principally known for party dresses, for printed pieces and for  special knits. This season the Budleigh Dress, Bridport Dress and Accott Cardigan are top sellers. 

Going through the photographic work of Rus Anson wakes up your senses. When I received a selection of images by photographer’s agent Barbara Laurie, one story particularly caught my eye; I wanted to see more and know more about what I called “Grace Coddington and the ants” story. Here’s what I gathered from the artist.

The A for Apple Autumn/Winter 2013 collection captures elements from the best of 60’s pop art for a wardrobe plenty of fun with twinkling woven stars and trendy polka dots. Splashes of colour make their way onto monochromatic backgrounds, basics are adorned with prints including an iconic sketch of her beloved bulldog Puku.

Take two cool brands, ask them to mix their design + knowhow and you get this cute luxury gift set for babies. This is not the first nor the last co-branding project for Atsuyo et Akiko or for Etiquette Clothier who have already a good experience in the field, as well as great future collaborations alined.

It must be very satisfying to build art and architectural structures in the middle of nowhere. The surrounding nature works as a frame or as an amplifier. Think Prada Marfa, Ordos Museum (Mongolia), James Turell at Roden Crater (Arizona). The Norwegian Wild Reindeer Centre Pavilion is a new example to admire.

I had a total crush on these paper  lamps by Pia Design. Pia spend six weeks in a paper factory in Ahmedabad (India), working on this handcrafted light collection.
