The brand that would make me spend all my money without thinking a minute is Pero. Touching their pieces is like being transported to a time when clothes were fully handmade with love, care and great attention to detail. Imagine “Bright Stars (Jane Campion)-meets-The Story of the Wheeping Camel (a delicious film taking place in Mongolia). The fabrics, double or triple layers, stitches, cut, everything is marvelous, like museum pieces. Preciousness but not fragility : the dresses and coats, very comfortable, allow total freedom. Pero mixes the ultra natural/peasant look with a great degree sophistication. The adult’s line is available at a selection of wonderful stores (Few and Far in London, Gerard in Florence). The children’s line named Chota Pero is now available at www.selvedge-drygoods.org in sizes 2 and 4 years. In case you share this passion and want a dress in bigger size, you can email adele.gandola@ilovepero.com recommending you from Pirouette!
