Petra Barkhof children’s fashion stylist & editor today releases her second edition of Scimparello Magazine. Going back in time to a very very hot August in NYC what a pleasure to share the Big Apple experience with Petra and gang.
We worked a lot, moaned about the heat a lot, laughed, danced and sang a lot. It’s all a balance. Petra tells us all about what she got up to this summer…
Polish label Efvva recently travelled to Japan to take part in Playtime Tokyo for the first time. The purpose of the trip was business but obviously the culture and style was not to be missed. The Japanese economy is enjoying a steady and long period of growth, however this isn’t the case in the children’s clothing market with household consumption continuing to decline and the birth rate at its lowest. That said designer and founder Ewa Wrobel-Hultqvist shares with Pirouette her very positive business and cultural experiences from her time spent in the Japanese capital.
So far Summer 2018 has been a hot one it seems for a lot of us, however for Photographer Monika Elena her stay in Bolinas also has provided spirituality and artistry. She shares with Pirouette her experience of this magical, bohemian town in California.
It’s both scary and exciting to think that I’ll soon leave my little family for three weeks, to travel to the Himalaya mountains to help a medical team bring health care to people in remote rural Nepal.
Planning a trip to Paris this Summer en famille ? if it’s a yes then the URBANITO Paris Family City Guide would be a very useful travelling companion. This well conceived guide is aimed at making France’s capital city a fun, cultured and stress free experience with the kids. It does this by providing the parents with travelling advice, places to visit, eat and look at, all from city insiders suggestions. A favourite touch is that on every map nearby WC’s are marked so to be located quickly, sparing children and parents undue stress related red faces. The guide is brilliantly designed, and contains lots of interesting info, so let’s have a look and find out where we can pick one up.
Spending Easter break in Portugal left a technicolour imprint on our memories. Sun seeking was the primary purpose of our visit, but it was the Festival of Flower Torches at São Bras de Alportel and it’s vibrant injection of Portuguese colour that rejuvenated the soul.
From the sleek boutiques of Ipanema to the colourful flea markets – then back to the heights of Santa Teresa…
