Company tag line :  Pluto … the littlest planet – out of this world tees for little earthlings!

What makes the brand special?  What makes us unique is that we are strongly eclectic (as is our “sourcebook” of inspirations).  We are, in fact, several tee shirt lines rolled into one.  We are passionate about words, ideas, and the whole world of visual thinking — thus, many of our tees feature strong concepts and playful typography.  We love children’s books, vintage signs, and the graphic styles of a million illustrators present and past — thus, other tees feature whimsical, retro-like graphics with colors galore.  We adore pop culture and a part of our line is devoted to parody.  What ties it all together is simply this — design is play for us (the greatest fun we have), and our tee shirts reflect that.   Of course, there seems to be a strong emphasis these days on tees for kids that are hip, cool, rock ‘n roll edgy – and we produce shirts of that sort as well.  But more than anything, kids are about fun.  And, along with “eclectic”, “fun” is the word that best describes our collection.

A quote from a journalist? From Time out Chicago (article written by Judy Sutton Taylor, editor-in-chief) “Ellen Oxhorn, a native New Yorker now living in Chicago, uses the humble T-shirt as a canvas for Pluto, her collection of bright, fun kids’ clothing design that reflect her love of pop culture and typography. They’re a perfect blend of kid-pleasing colors and parent-pleasing ingenuity. “
