Mauritius born Darshana Salvisberg strongly believes that both Mother and child ‘Mommy & Me’ can wear and enjoy luxury pieces that are respectful in their production and that benefits future generations. This belief and conviction lead Darshana to founding Atelier Parsmei – a label formed around ethical, sustainable and socially conscious principles.
Having recently launched their first collection for SS20 and with their new store now online Atelier Parsmei are excited to return to Pitti Bimbo and Playtime Paris during the AW/FW20 selling season to showcase their second collection entitled ‘Music is an education’. The collection is a mix of retro classic – think Maria from the sound of Music with design-led detailing by way of oversized silk bows embroidered with “Do Re Mi Fa So La Si Do”.
Rich forest, moss greens, midnight blues and birch hues contrast with green damask and floral jacquard prints provide a delicious classic yet contemporary feel. The Atelier Parsmei AW20 collection uses Eco-friendly zippers and coconut buttons, organic cotton/ cashmere/ tencel, organic cotton tape labels and organic velvet-soft baby cord.
“Still focusing on the importance of education to all. This Fall Winter’s inspiration derives from the movie The Sound of Music and Maria’s (the governess) motherly relationship between her and her charges. Their use of music together facilitates, supports and cements the strong bond that forms between them.”
