Mathilde de Turckheim started her eponymous collection of beautiful rabbit dolls in New York, five years ago. Back to France where she now lives with her family, Mathilde continues creating Home Decor & Pendant Necklaces, that were on show at Playtime New York the past three days.

I always loved to carry my kids in my arms when they were little, I did it a long time; I still do it with my little boy (nearly 4) even if he begins to be heavy! I often wear a fun pendant necklace around the neck. I noticed that it did attract them while I was holding them in my arms and they were playing with it keeping them busy. That was a such great help when the whole family was traveling! Still does sometimes” says Mathilde.

The fall Fall-Winter 2014-215 Collection  features a joyful menagerie of monkeys, doggies, deers, butterflies, birds & canaries, to keep the rabbits a bit of company. The sweet dolls & the little ladies, all pretty coquette, are trying to catch up.  A nice little troop of precious creatures are all dressed preciously with vintage or new fabrics, and adorned with various kind of accessories!

Mathilde De Turckheim’s creations are hand-made by sri-lankan women in the framework of trade fair; they soon will be made in Portugal as well.
