Petit Bateau, new collaboration with JC de Castelbajac

Petit Bateau has real talent to finding the best collaborations for memorable capsule collections. Carven, Tsumori Chisato…and now French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. His colourful, whimsical style is the perfect mix with the iconic Petit Bateau pieces.

For JC de Castelbajac, constantly renewing his style and passion for colour, reimagining Petit Bateau’s wardrobe and its nautical themes has been a funcruise. In his talented hands the brand’s iconic pieces change to take on new meaning. The classic raincoat becomes a poncho and its hood a hat. The traditional marinière goes “pop” with shoulder pads in bright patent yellow or red canvas fabric. Last but not least, series of colourful portraits of a daydreaming sailor gleefully grace pure cotton baby vests, T-shirts and sweatshirts.
