The Small Gatsby’ SS16 collection was shot by Wanda Kujacz in Vienna. An Underwater Love story filled with floating blue and graceful weightlessness.
To create this world of Vienna Underwater, ballet and modern dance students Raphael, Emma and Flynn have shown their best jumps during two days in front of the camera. They jumped from walls and statues, up stairs and over wells in the heart of Vienna at the state opera, the Albertina museum, and the ample buildings of the Hofburg, Vienna’s city castle.
The Small Gatsby’s SS16 collection (The Seerand Collection), quoting many details of the 1910-1920’s, has not only been shot, but designed and produced in Vienna. The fabrics have been carefully selected for their softness and are certified organic, mixing uniqueness, luxury, quality with values of social and ecological responsibility.
“Moray coloured silk and blush scale jaquards meet nappa leather, which gleam like the deep turqoise ocean. Pebble prints and soft white batiste are beautifully teamed with cosy jerseys. Crepe silk sways gently as shirts, skirts and dresses, like pale sea greens and soft pink anemones”.
The intricate detailing of every facet such as hand-dying, smocking and embellishment emphasise the artisan quality. A collaboration of illustrations by London painter I.K Markus integrated with photography excerpts- of Hamburg photographer Maria L. Felixmüller- add a contemporary touch to the Limited Artist Edition.
The Small Gatsby Seerand Collection SS16 offers styles in sizes for children aged 4-12 years as well newborns, babies and toddlers aged 0-3 years.
