“Frida Kahlo’s garden”, a recent exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden, sparked Tia Cibani’s interest, which transformed into a collection – currently on show at Playtime New York.

It’s rich with cactus prints, tapestry jacquard, full volume skirts, botanical details, all in cashmere+yak blends, silk+wool twill, cotton jersey with tulle overlay.  Tia’s artisanal approach and love for strong colour palettes is perfectly reflected in this delicious line.
Catering to girls and boys, ages 2-14, Tia Cibani’s children line is special and unforgettable. It speaks to the joy of childhood with designs that are playful and fun.

Currently sold at exclusive boutiques, TiA CiBANi KiDS has built a loyal following in New York City, and is now broadening its reach worldwide, drawing from global references in clashing textures that make for a collage of eclectic harmony.

Born in North Africa and raised in Canada, Tia Cibani lived and worked for extensive periods in China. In 2004 she came to New York to relaunch Ports 1961, where as Creative Director she led the design team, oversaw a major retail expansion, and created a successful red carpet collection that dressed notable women of Hollywood and beyond. During New York Fashion Week in September 2012, Tia introduced her namesake brand, and was quickly named a new designer to watch by Style.com, Vogue Italia, and WWD.
