Now in it’s 8th edition Dot to Dot – the UK based trade show for design led independent children’s brands will be opening it’s doors on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd of January at The Vinyl Factory, behind Carnaby street. Over 40 brands will be exhibiting this edition. We find out a little more about the show that’s just keeps growing.
THE SHOW
Dot to Dot is a biannual design-led trade show for independent children’s brands. Established, with a view to handpick the best and most creative in the industry, providing a curated, collaborative environment for brands and buyers to explore the potential of new commercial avenues. The relaxed and intimate atmosphere allows the brands to exhibit at their most creative whilst buyers and press get to know the people, ideas and values behind the labels. The trade show is open to buyers, press, agents and distributors only.
THE FOUNDERS : Nicole Frobusch and Carly Gledhill
Nicole – a designer, photographer, expressionist dancer, band member and Reiki healer. Carly – a designer, business owner, children’s illustrator and northerner. They both bonded over their disappointment at the lack of support in the UK for independent, creative brands. So, they decided to take matters into their own hands and Dot to Dot London was born.
With the show going from strength to strength what will the 8th Edition of Dot to Dot have in store ? We are super excited about the brands showing with us: some have shown with us in past seasons and so many new exciting ones are joining, so this is our focus always the brands !!!!
New brands to look out for ? Personally I think they are all to look out for, but if I had to pick, it would be Ottie, Little Fox and Fable Heart.
Recommendation for coffee or spot of lunch near the show ? I would avoid Carnaby Street and explore the side streets for coffee places so much nicer. I like the Masala Zone on Marshall Street right next to the venue for lovely indian food.
Dot to Dot AW17 takes place on the 22/23rd January 2017 at the Vinyl Factory, London.
Pirouette will definitely be there !
