Gillis & Sonja
Do you have special powers? Gillis: I can run fast! So fast, much faster than Jacob and Simon
Who is the strongest person in the world? Gillis: Me. Sonja: Me me me!
What do you want to be when you grow up? Gillis: I want to paint. Pictures and houses. Sonja: A worm.
Who do you admire? Gillis: Jacob, my best boy (best friend)
If you would be an artist who would you like to be? Sonja: Oppa Gangnam style!
What is the best thing in life? Gillis: Mommy and Angry birds. Sonja: Riding horses and candy
Are you scared of anything? Gillis: Ghosts, crocodiles and sharks, they are dangerous. Sonja: No!
Your favourite films, books, apps? Sonja: Cars and Cars 2.
A place that you would dream to visit? Gillis: Stockholm because that’s where Grandma and Grandpa lives!
Your favorite belonging? Gillis: My Ipad (not his Ipad) Sonja: Ninen, Nallen & Katten (the three cuddly toys she’s always carrying around)
The next item you would so dearly love to get? Gillis: The white angry bird. Sonja: A horse
If you had a magic wand, what would you do with it right now? Sonja: Magic!
Sara
A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you? My Grandmother had the most beautiful garden at her holiday house. It had hundreds of different flowers and to a small child the garden seemed huge! Me and my sister used to pick petals and mix in old rainwater to make our own perfume. Eau de dirty water.
Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday? When the kids are a bit older I wish to take them on road-trips around Europe, like the ones my parents used to take me on as a child. I loved the feeling of falling asleep in the car somewhere around the French Riviera and waking up in a different place maybe even in a different country.
The film that you love to see with the whole family? We love to see films based on Swedish author Astrid Lindgren’s books (Pippi Longstocking and so on). But we also love “Despicable me”.
The children’s brands your cherish? There are so many fantastic brands! Some of them are Popupshop, Indikidual, Mini Rodini and of course Filemon Kid.
Last thing you bought for your children? I bought a pair of leggings to Sonja on Etsy from Sweet Kiddo. They have a camping theme pattern with bears, campfires foxes, tents and canoes. Love them!
Favourite pieces in your child’s wardrobe? My favorite pieces are from my own brand, mostly because I know how much effort it has taken to get them there.
What do you buy online? I buy EVERYTHING online. I like Etsy to find unique things for gifts. I really like stories.com to find things for myself when I deserve them.
The online destinations that inspire you? Pinterest is an endless source of inspiration. If you can’t find it there, it’s not to be found.
What are your main current concerns ? The environment is a huge concern for me. In everything I do personally and business wise I think of what effect it will have on the environment and what I can do to make things better. I want consumption to change. Not to stop, but I want people to start to consume more wisely.
Do you have a big dream and if so what is it? My dream is that all the people I care about will have a happy and healthy life and that everything else will sort itself out.
Something that made you laugh out loudly recently? My children make me laugh out loud all day, every day.
Anything you want to tell? I used to work as a shoe-designer. When I got children I realized that I did too much working, too much travelling and not enough living and spending time with my family. So I quit my job and started Filemon Kid. It has been the best choice of my life.
