Prune (La prune actually, which is a nickname) is the kindest girls on earth, always attentive to other people’s well being. She also has greats principles and she can be quite rigid about them. High school is a bit hard sometimes as she can’t stand people who don’t listen and are trouble makers. She is extremely ambitious and determined, her dream is to become an astrophysicist or an astronaut. Since her young age she likes to sing, draw, create with a lot of fantasy. Morgane the mother is a lifestyle journalist and a blogger : Madame Chacha. Morgane did a beautiful project for the two years of My Little Day.
Prune
What do you want to be when you grow up Astronaut
Someone you admire? Youri Gagarine
What is your big dream? Visit planet Mars
Are you scared of anything? Death (I don’t want to die)
Your favourite films and books Books : George et les secrets de l’univers, Harry Potter, Les désastreuses aventures des orphelins Baudelaire… Films : Harry Potter (but I can’t watch the end yet; my parents want me to finish the last book first)
Things that you really love to do Chatting with my mum about the universe, my drawing lessons,go to the restaurant with my family before a movie, go to a party and go for a sleepover at my best friend…
The best holidays you ever had ? My first holidays at Ile d’Yeu because we had a huge house behind which there was a forest. We built a tree house with all the kids who were staying at the house with us. There was also a place called Tatie Bichon where we ate delicious waffles. And I also love that island because you cycle everywhere; there are no cars.
A place that you would dream to visit I’d love to live near a beach, to go swim everyday…
Your favorite outfit or the piece you like the most from your wardrobe My blouse by Sœur, black with sparkles.
The next item you would so dearly love to get High heels shoes!
If you had a magic wand, what would you do with it right now? I would teleport myself to Mars
Morgane
A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you? The woods where my father was taking us at dusk; he was animating special evenings for young people around the astronomy theme. The ghost-like shadows of the trees, the call of the deers, the stars in the sky…all this had something very magical for the child I was. When I am thinking of an imaginary world, there is always a tree and mysterious animals. I am still a child of the night.
The place you love near your home The endless fields behind our home, where I am able to go for long resourcing walks. My favourite Parisian restaurants where I go for lunch with girlfriends (Bac à glaces, Crêperie des canettes, Toritcho, an excellent Japanese restaurant).
Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday We are just back from a trip to London but I can’t wait for our next adventure : we are going to Tataouine in Tunisia. It is not only holdidays: I am invited by a tourism organisation to make a photo reportage. I would also like to take my children to India that I love so much.
A film that you saw recently and that staid with you? Polisse
The film that you love to see with the whole family? Les désastreuses aventures des orphelins Baudelaire ((A Series of Unfortunate Events); we know the text by heart.
The book on your bedside table All books by Jean-Philippe Delhomme, who is a great humorist. It’s good to smile before sleeping!
The children’s brands your cherish I loved Oona l’ourse and Luco (but they no longer exist), Bobo choses, Bonpoint, Waddler, Mor mor rita, Merveilles, Leoca, Wovenplay… I also have a recent passion for Talc.
The children’s stores you love to visit and buy from Bonpoint (flagship rue de Tournon), Bonton, Bonton bazar, Talc, Merci, Serendipity, Alice à Paris, Bleu comme Gris… But also yarns store where I find inspiration (Entrée des fournisseurs). And in London Liberty biensûr, un monument of course, a must!
What do you buy online? I have a preference for private sale e-stores like Cabane Chic for the kids, and for myself Medium Fashion Gallery and Ventes Privées.
A website that inspires you I think I am a Pinterest addict ! A part from that there are many artist sites that I love but I can’t name them all, the list is too long. At the moment the site of Ellen Kooi brings me peace. I am also a big fan of Emma Cassi‘s blog. She is a friend.
Last item you added to your child’s wardrobe A dress by Sœur (cute Parisian brand for girls created by Domitille Brion, a former Bonpoint designer). I love the perfect cut for an 11 years old schoolgirl. And a sweater handmade by her grand mother, colour chocolate…splendid.
Favourite pieces in your child’s wardrobe A pair of jeans by Paul & Joe, a Soeur shirt in grey-green plats, her wedges by Swedish Hasbeens, her neon yellow Nils jacket, all the skirts sawn by her granny in the linen that I find and dye myself, a Talc coat, Hunter boots…the look is quite English in the end.
