Kids love to create and most parents love things that are engaging their children’s imagination. Pirouette picked up three brands with interactive features : Monkies (draw on your shoes), Giokit (customise your outfit) and Storypanda (create your own digital story). Come and play!
Monkies
Albin Warin is a very enthusiastic person who loves life, people and new ideas. “If you do consumer products you must love them otherwise you cannot understand the market and buyers”. You can feel this enthusiasm in his Monkies project, which came to his mind while seeing his nephew draw on his new shoes. He loved the idea, and thought that everybody tried to draw on their shoes at least once, especially kids so if they could color, change everyday, erase, start to draw again it would be totally awesome. It’s absolutely guaranteed : kids will love Monkies!
Giokit
With Giokit, every garment becomes an opportunity to play. Their kit offers kids the possibility of colouring tee-shirts or dresses, and to wash and start all over again. Giokit’s products come with 6 markers washable at 40°. The brand also offers t-shirts that can be used as a chalkboard. Fun ahead! www.giokit.com
Storypanda
This kids digital media company recently collaborated with Anorak Magazine to publish one of their stories on the iPad. Called My extraordinary friend, it is about a little girl walking her dog who discovers that the evil witch that is rumoured to live in the woods is really a sweet old lady. Kids are loving the illustrations and the ability to swap in different colours for the little girl\’s coat and dog (with our create option). itunes.apple.com/us/app/id634695120
