Two consumer’s events around children & family are due in London this fall : Plusher will take place at the Royal Horticultural Hall in November while Babyccino will host its ShopUp in Primerose Hill early December. Fun shopping ahead!
Plusher and ShopUp surf on the consumer’s events trend and come together to create a bit of excitement in London. Parents will be able to shop a great number of brands under one roof, find new products, advice and services (so precious for moms-to-be and young parents), buy directly from the brands, network with other parents while the children will be invited to participate to creative activities.
Plusher, “For the descerning parent”
“London’s First Ever Luxury Mother, Baby & Family Show”, as mentioned in the press release. “Dedicated to all things stylish and fabulous for families, the show targets parents who want the very best for themselves and their ‘precious little urbanites'”.
Where – The Royal Horticultural Hall
When – November 9 2013
Ticket price – £14 (early bird, until Sept 30) £20 at the door
What – An exclusive selection of brands ranging from clothing and toys to interiors and holidays. Honeyjam, the independent toy shop co-owned by Jasmine Guinness and Honey Bowdrey, aden& anais, Lelli Kelly, Little Fashion Gallery, Step2wo, Anorak magazine, Bamford, Aravore, Jacadi, Little Carousel, Ren Skincare.
Extras – Pannel discussions, VIP goodie bags will feature products from brands such as aden + anais, Angel’s Face, Lelli Kelly and Little Fashion Gallery, raffle.
Personal view – The entry ticket seems a bit pricey for a small and somehow incongruent range of brands, but there might be some good deals to make on the spot and a few celebrities to spot for who is after that!
Shop Up by Babyccino Kids
Babyccino is launching a live shopping event, and that seems a natural extention of their famous online shopping portal and lifestyle blog. The selection of brands is attractive; the event will offer families the chance to shop the good ‘old- fashioned’ way, and leave with a bag filled with unique gifts and goodies.
Where – Cecil Sharp House (2 Regent’s Park Road, Primrose Hill, London, NW1 7AY) in the trendy, family-friendly neighbourhood of Primrose Hill (a very short walk from the park, the London Zoo and the buzzing high street) — the perfect setting for a fun family day out!
When – Sunday December 1st & Monday December 2nd
Ticket Price – £5 per adult. Children are free to attend
What – About 35 top brands (Tootsa MacGinty, Caramel Baby&Child, Macarons, Sisters Guild, La Langerie, Hedgehog Shop, etc). The event will offer families the chance to shop the good ‘old- fashioned’ way, and leave with a bag filled with unique gifts and goodies.
Extras – A whole host of fun activities & goodies for children at the event, and there is also a café located downstairs where visitors can buy hot drinks and nibbles. In addition, shops will be offering discounts, prizes will be available to win, and canvas tote bags will be handed out to all visitors.
Personal view – This events seems focused on shopping opportunities and activities for kids, which seems a good mix to me! Probably a good place to hang out on a Sunday with the whole family.
