Freshly launched in London, shortstitch.com is a personal shopping service for kids aged 4 to 10 years. The perfect way to release busy parents from the task of spending hours searching the web and boutiques for cool outfits. This season’s top notch brands selection includes April Showers, Finger in the nose, American Outfitters, Scotch r’belle, Soft Gallery. A promise for impeccable style.
Husband and wife team Chris Haskett and Darina Wallace are the founders of ShortStitch. Darina, originally from Ireland, worked for ten years in the children’s clothing retail, as an international buyer. Chris, originally from New Zealand, has a background in IT which has seen him freelancing all over the world from the Caribbean to India. Whilst based in London he met Darina and last year they married. They live in Shoreditch, East London with Arlo their 3 month old baby boy.
Their aim is to offer ShortStitch customers unique brands so the line up will always be changing. This season, in addition to April Showers, Finger in the nose, I love gorgeous, Scotch r’belle/Scotch’Shrunk, Soft Gallery, they also carry Angulus, Etiquette, Emile et Ida, I Love Gorgeous, I dig denim, Manuela de Juan, Roockahuha, Little Remix. For SS16 the are working with Bellerose, abc123, 10is and Beanie and Bear.
“We get to know our families tastes and preferences, and send typically 15 items of the season’s sharpest styles in a carefully-curated Box of ShortStitch’s Boxes of Yay! We do not charge a fee for our styling service and the only thing parents have to pay for is the clothes they keep. Anything else can be returned for free”, the couple explains.
The next step for Shortstitch will be developing the brand range to introduce ‘special occasion’ boxes. Anything from holiday box to party/special occasion box and outdoor box.
