The “Flying” and “Fulgurine” series by Charlotte Badelon are inspired by cartoons, by Jean-Paul Goude and by silent movies. Charlotte studied at Ecole Supérieur de photographie et d’Audiovisuel but, in her young years, she she also trained at Cours Florent (famous actor’s studio in Paris). She worked for a quite a while in the theatre industry, as a comedian and a theatre teacher. No surprise then that her playful images seem out of a comedy, a ballet, a musical of aloof and extravagant characters. Charlotte loves everything quirky and happy, vintage furniture and pop up books. Specialized in actors’ portraits, Charlotte’s work is is naturally shifting towards chidren’s fashion. Good news for the children’s world!
