Last night Velveteen opened the doors to their new Notting Hill Store, welcoming press, buyers and friends to join in the celebration. The store is located on the very beautiful and fashionable Ledbury street.
Only a few days prior the street saw the opening of the new Mini Rodini store alongside Bon Ton (children’s french chic). So it seems Ledbury street is just the location to shop for something a little different with these London flagship stores providing an exclusive family friendly retail experience. The Velveteen store is decorated with a relaxed but chic aesthetic (very Velveteen) with a luxurious, friendly retail experience aimed squarely at the family. In the future the store will have cinema night showings in the cosy basement room.
This has been a while in the making for Velveteen, but the fruits of their labour is a stunning location and a beautifully presented store to provide the Velveteen customer with a glitzy golden retail experience for all the family.
During the launch fashion illustrator Anjelica Roselyn was in residence sketching the most wonderful portraits of everyone at the party during the evening. Velveteen founder and designer Laura Egloff gave a lovely and at times poignant speech giving thanks to her initial buyers in London whilst also adding thanks to where they find themselves today.
Congratulations Velveteen team on the gold and sparkly success!

Editors Notes: Congratulations Velveteen Team! Thank you Laura & Anjelica for the super cool portrait. It was wonderful to see how everyones turned out.
Laura you might want to spray that fire extinguisher gold ;-)
